Showing cats can be a very enjoyable
hobby. For those of us who just adore our cats, it is a wonderful opportunity
to learn about cats and make friends with those who share our interests.
If you think you might be interested in
showing your kitten / cat (and domestics can be shown also) contact your
breeder, and or cat council in your state and they can provide you with local
info.
Did you know that you could show desexed
cats? Cat shows have separate sections for desexed pedigreed cats. Your cat
will need to be registered – contact your breeder and the cat council in your
state for more information.
In
Australia there are 2 main bodies that co-ordinate registration of cats and
shows (Among other things).
These are The Australian Cat Federation and the Cat
Control Council of Australia. Each has affiliate organisations in Australian
states – sometimes more than one.
